Korean Film Festival this weekend in Madrid; 4 euros a (K) pop.

Korean cinema is having a moment: Parasite by Bong Joon Ho is taking the critics by storm (99% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, showing now in most cinemas) and it so happens that the annual Korean Cinema festival is taking place this weekend. Tickets are 4 euros.

Here are the 2 films that caught my eye:

The Host (2007) by the same Bong Joon Ho is an "intellectually satisfying monster movie", and looks to have some laughs as well as thrills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HRTy26s4hw - Sunday 4.30pm

The Spy Gone North (2018) is a cold war drama that looks at the South´s relationship with North Korea and is rocking a sweet 100% on Rotten Tomatoes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0GFDtviW_E Saturday 4.30pm
